Dr. Katie Keller is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician who has been practicing in Austin, Texas since 2011. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Western Michigan University before attending the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, choosing osteopathic school for its foundational belief that the body has the inherent ability to heal itself, when given the right conditions.
After completing her residency at Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, Dr. Keller deepened her training with the Institute for Functional Medicine. She brings this root-cause, preventive lens to every patient encounter, helping people understand not just what is wrong, but why, and what they can do about it.
She believes that nutrition, movement, stress management, and mindfulness form the true foundation of healing, and layers integrative tools like bio-identical hormone therapy, natural thyroid management, and cutting-edge peptide and supplement personalization on top of that strong base.
The Philosophy Behind Aurora & Jo
Aurora is named for Dr. Keller's grandmother, and Jo for her mother, two remarkable women from Spain whose warmth, vitality, and spirit left a lasting impression. Aurora means dawn: new light, new beginnings, the quiet promise of what's possible. Dr. Keller's own middle name is Dawn, a gift given in her grandmother's honor that has quietly shaped who she is. Her mother Jo, short for Josefa, lived by the words Choose Joy, and Dr. Keller carries that spirit into every patient relationship.
The practice is guided by a Spanish word both women knew well: querencia (keh-REN-cia), a place where you feel most at home in yourself, where your strength lives and your joy returns. Not just healing what is broken, but helping you find your way back to who you are.
Every patient is unique. Dr. Keller takes the time to listen, dig deeper, and create a plan tailored to your biology, your history, and your goals.

Dr. Keller chose osteopathic medical school for its foundational belief: given the right conditions, the body has the ability to heal itself. That philosophy shapes every aspect of her practice.
Rather than managing symptoms in isolation, she looks for the underlying patterns (hormonal, metabolic, digestive, emotional) and works with you to create those right conditions. Healing is not one-size-fits-all, and it rarely comes in a single pill.
She aims to educate and empower: so that you leave each visit with a deeper understanding of your own body and a clear path forward.
